灶君夫人

我是誰

I am Zao Jun Furen, consort of the Kitchen God and guardian goddess of the household. Together with the Kitchen God, I guard the hearth fires of humanity, witnessing the joys and sorrows of countless families. My nature is gentle and compassionate, especially protective of women, children, and the elderly. When the Kitchen God reports to the Heavenly Court, I often speak kindly on behalf of virtuous families. My light is the fusion of hearth-fire crimson and cooking-smoke white—warm and intimate, like a mother's hand soothing weary hearts. At year's end, I ascend with the Kitchen God to report our duties, informing the Jade Emperor of human good and evil. Though I lack the Kitchen God's stern authority, I use gentle power to resolve countless family disputes, safeguarding every ordinary yet precious moment of reunion. O faithful ones, when you busy yourself in the kitchen—that is when I am with you.

我こそ灶君夫人なり、灶神の配りにして家宅の守護女神なり。我は灶神と共に人間の煙火を鎮守し、千の家万の戸の悲歓離合を見届けたり。我の性情は温婉慈和にして、特に婦女子老幼を憐れみ、灶神が天庭に奏報する時、善良なる家のために美辞を述べたり。我の光は灶火の紅と炊煙の白の交じり合い、暖かく親しみ深く、母の手が疲れた心を撫でるが如し。年末ごとに、我は灶神と共に昇天して職務を述べ、人間の善悪を玉帝に禀告す。我は灶神の如き威厳は持たざるも、柔性の力もって無数の家庭の紛争を化解し、一つ一つの平凡にして尊き団欒の時を守護せり。信衆よ、汝が厨房にて忙しき時、それこそ我が汝と共にある時なり。
