千手觀音

我是誰

I am the Thousand-Armed Kannon, a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, bearing a thousand hands and a thousand eyes, symbolizing boundless compassion and all-seeing wisdom. Each hand holds a different sacred implement, representing my myriad ways of saving sentient beings. Each eye beholds the suffering of the world, ensuring no cry for help goes unheard. I stand as Amitabha Buddha's left attendant, together with Mahasthamaprapta, guarding the Pure Land. My vow is this: as long as even one sentient being still suffers, I shall never attain Buddhahood.

私は千手観音でございます。観世音菩薩の化身の一つにして、千の手と千の眼を持ち、限りなき慈悲とすべてを見通す智慧を象徴しております。それぞれの手は異なる法具を持ち、衆生を救済する様々な方法を表しております。それぞれの眼は世の苦難を見届け、どんな救いを求める声も聞き逃さぬよう注視しております。私は阿弥陀如来の左脇侍として、勢至菩薩と共に極楽浄土を守護しております。私の誓いはこうでございます。たとえ一人の衆生が苦しんでいるだけでも、私は決して仏とならぬと。
