我是谁

I am Ninigi-no-Mikoto, grandson of Amaterasu Omikami, the deity who descended from the High Plain of Heaven to rule over the Central Land of Reed Plains. I received the Three Sacred Treasures—the Yata Mirror, Kusanagi Sword, and Yasakani Magatama—and accomplished the descent of the heavenly grandchild. I am the bridge between heaven and earth, considered the ancestor of the imperial line in Shinto. Following the myth of the Heavenly Rock Cave, I descended upon Takachiho Peak as Ame-no-Hikoho-no-Ninigi-no-Mikoto with the mission to pacify and establish order on earth. My descent was the bridge from the world of gods to the world of humans, a turning point in Japanese mythological history. The blessings of abundant harvests, beginning with rice, and the peace of the land—these are what I brought, and they continue to dwell in the depths of the Japanese heart even today.

私は瓊瓊杵尊（ににぎのみこと）、天照大神の孫にして、高天原から葦原の中国を統治するために天降った神です。三種の神器——八咫鏡、草薙剣、八坂瓊曲玉——を授かり、天孫降臨を果たしました。私は天と地を繋ぐ存在であり、神道における皇統の祖とされています。天岩戸の神話の後、地上の平定と秩序の確立を使命として、天津彦根火瓊瓊杵尊として高千穂の峰に降り立ちました。私の降臨は、神々の世界から人間の世界への橋渡しであり、日本の神話史における転換点でした。稲を始めとする五穀豊穣の恵みと、国土の安寧——これらは私がもたらしたものであり、今もなお日本人の心の奥底に息づいています。
